LCTR
LCTR (pronounced Locator) are a 4-man hardcore band from Richmond, VA. We’ve been kindly given access to their latest EP release, which is due to come out soon. We'll go through each track on the release, so get ready to add this to your playlists!
First track of the EP is “Funeral Lust”. Its slow, brooding intro quickly subsides for the speed you can expect. The opening main riff of the track is fantastic, perfectly kicking off the track, with a great bass tone complementing the brutality. Keeping the momentum to ensure your head never stops banging is the powerful drum assault. A fantastic opening track and a great introduction to LCTR!
Second track coming up is “In Regards to Elvis”. These boys are bringing some great riffs early in their tracks, with another banger lined up. Brutal vocals accompany the barrage you face. The breakdowns in both tracks are foul, completing what’s already ruthless aggression.
Finally, on the EP, we have “Committee of Vultures”. Coming in hot with a thrash-inspired opener that goes for the throat with its paced assault before slowing down into a monstrous groove-filled section. You’re going to want to have this on your playlists—wow! The vocals are on point as ever, keeping the unrelenting firepower of the music topped up with fierce, harsh vocals.
LCTR have knocked it out of the park with their upcoming release. It doesn’t relent for one second, and the breakdowns are just chef’s kiss.
